What if I have employees or an apprentice?

Accepted Answer

Every program works whether you are solo, owner-plus-apprentice, or running a small crew. Adding crew members changes the cash flow math and the labour rate calculation, but the underlying systems are the same. Pricing, quote structure, lien rights, AR management, GST handling, and owner's draw all apply regardless of crew size.

Do I have to do the Blueprint before Journeyman Pathway?

Accepted Answer

No. If you are already operating, meaning you have been taking paid work, Journeyman Pathway is designed for established operators regardless of whether they have done the Blueprint. The two programs serve different audiences. Blueprint is for pre-launch or the first one to two years of operation. Journeyman is for established businesses with ongoing financial, operations or growth issues. Not sure which one fits your situation? That is what the discovery call is for.

I've been in the trades for years. Do I really need a business program?

Accepted Answer

Being great at your trade and running a profitable trades business are two different skill sets. Almost no tradesperson was formally trained on how to price a job so it actually makes money, how to structure the business to protect the owner, how to collect payment without awkward conversations, or how to manage a holdback. Those business skills get learned on the wrong end of a bad job or not at all. Years on the tools confirm the trade knowledge, not the business fundamentals.
